Buffalo Jambalaya Artists at Work

One of the traditions at Buffalo Jambalaya is the "Art Class". Hosted by Leslie Milofsky, an art therapist in the DC public school system, the class is an opportunity to get in touch with either your inner child, or your artistic self or your wacky self. Each year, a variety of art projects are suggested. We have created masks, alligators, decorated drink cups and voodoo dolls.

The art workshop is held twice a day on Friday and Saturday. Leslie and Jennifer or Nadine give a brief introduction on how to create the object and lots of individual advice on how to create your own unique artwork. You have at your disposal all sorts of art supplies and, if desired, suggestions and encouragement. You may bring additional items to decorate such as: chairs, shoes, umbrellas, sunglasses and bras.
